That is seriously cool, but it would be so much more usable on a modern, diesel chassis. I guess if you lived close enough to the track it might be bearable, but I can’t imagine driving that under powered thing 1000 miles in the course of one of my race weekends, especially at altitude in West. I have a feeling that thing would be climbing Raton pass at about 15mph.

My idea that is sort of along this line (and that I didn’t think of before I bought my new truck), is a take a used, big box, medium duty commercial chassis/diesel ambulance and convert the back into a one-man RV set up. The race car would then be towed in a enclosed trailer behind.
